Malaysian Grand Prix

I mentioned disappointments on my last post right? This may well be the biggest one of them all.

Malaysian Grand Prix Schedule

April 3, Practice session April 4, Qualifying round April 5, Race day April 6, We arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Ouch.

Obviously, the purchasing of plane tickets was done before the actual planning of the trip. And I haven’t thought of it until after the Australian Grand Prix (first race of the season), which was what, 2 weeks before the Malaysia trip?

More after the jump.

F1

I’ve started to watch F1 since I was in high school. Back then, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard in their McLaren Mercedes was the league’s dominating. Michael Schumacher was in his first or second season with Ferrari, along with his team mate then, Eddie Irvine, were the close second.

F1, the mother of all motorsports, the most expensive sport on earth, on its 2nd race this season in Malaysia. I was there, only one day late. Not to mention Sepang International Circuit was just a hop away from the KLIA.

All I had was that pathetic shot above from a display at the airport.

If it’s any consolation, the race was red flagged on the 31st lap due to heavy rainfall. Jenson Button won, but only half points were awarded.
